Then: Mary Ann spent the first 12 years of her life as an Air Force "brat" traveling with her parents and younger brother from as far south as New Mexico to as far north as Alaska. Her interests back then were making new friends, writing and drawing, reading Nancy Drew mysteries and archeology. Somewhat of a tomboy, she was always adventurous and willing to try anything once. She just loved digging in the dirt and uncovering lost treasures! As a matter of fact, she was beside herself when "The Flintstones - a Modern Prehistoric Family" turned out to be a cartoon!
Now: A confirmed shoeaholic, Mary Ann still loves adventure and travel, meeting new people, writing and discovering hidden treasures, - only now she's concentrating on the people and places in the Piedmont area of North Carolina!
Then: Marsha’s mom said she was horse crazy since she was 4 yrs old. She used to pan-handle her uncles and grandpas for any loose change they had…..”for my horse”…she’d claim as she listened to the jingle of the coins as they landed inside her huge piggy bank. She watched every horse TV show….Mr. Ed, My Friend Flicka, but, her favorite was “Fury” at 11:00 on Saturday mornings…right after Mighty Mouse. BTW – her story has a happy ending…she saved over $200 and her Poppy added the rest and at age 12, she got her first horse, “Princess”.
Now: LOL….You can still find Marsha happily “horsin” around. But, she’s traded in her equine for a long-legged Doberman, she calls Jesse James – cuz he was a cruelty rescue and she sprung him from jail!
